Papa and Connor Go Fishing

Papa picked Connor up bright and early this morning. Connor was up and ready to head out for a fun day of fishing. Look out fish...here come Connor and Papa!!!!

Papa lets Connor drive the boat. Connor, of course, loves to drive the boat and is very good at it. He doesn't mind at all when they need to go to a new place on the lake to look for fish. What a cutie...

Connor was very interested in the wild donkeys. Papa explained how the donkeys helped the miners in the past by carrying equipment and other heavy items. Connor asked what the donkeys do now. Papa told him they just roam around and eat and sleep. Connor thought for a moment and said...that sounds very boring.
Papa and Connor did not catch any fish this trip but they still had fun spending the day together trying to catch fish.

Quad Riding Camping Trip

We joined Rob, Candice, and the kids at their campsite on Saturday and the boys enjoyed some more quad riding. Connor is becoming a "pro" according to Papa. Apparently Connor has no fear and enjoys climbing rock covered hills and spinning out when he comes to a stop. It's probably a good idea for Mema to stay behind during these quad trips because she would definitely be trying to slow everyone down.

Thank you Rob and Candice for inviting us to join you for your camping trip. We are so blessed to have you close by and be able to share in your family adventures. You are such wonderful parents and it is a joy to watch you with the kids and also with each other. It is very apparent that you were meant to compliment each others lives. We love you!!

The kids are waving bye as we leave the Campground. What great kids and what a wonderful day!!

Connor's End of Soccer Award Party!

Connor had his soccer award party today. The coach brought her two teams to Pump-It-Up where the kids got to wear themselves out on the blow-up slides and bouncies. They enjoyed pizza and soda and then were awarded their spirit awards. Connor's team only lost one game this season and came in 1st place!! Great job Connor and Team Dragons!!

Connor's Field Trip to the Wild Life World Zoo

Connor and Mema had a great time at the Wild Life World Zoo today. Connor was very excited about taking his first school bus ride and going to the Zoo. The weather was beautiful for walking around and looking at all kinds of animals. We enjoyed lunch with Connor's friends from his Kindergarten class...and after all that walking we were pretty tired. We had a terrific day!!

Connor's First Little League Game

Connor's first coach pitched Little League game was tonight. His team is the "Express". We had such a terrific time at the game. The pictures show Connor's first at bat, his first hit and his coach congratulating him for his hit. He played left field, 2nd base (pictured) and catcher (pictured). As you can see Papa is in the picture when Connor is playing catcher. Papa was the home plate umpire and he was very tired after the game. He loved it though and plans to continue his duties as needed by the team. Papa also helps with the practices and is appreciated by the coaches for his jump in there and do it attitude.

Connor had a great game. He only had 1 at bat without a hit. The team is in the dug out after the game listening to pointers from their coach (pictured). They have 2 games a week plus a practice so Connor will be learning lots and staying very busy. The last picture is of Connor after the game. He was covered in dirt and so cute I had to share with everyone.

Cambell Loves Maverick

The weather here is beautiful and very conducive to a rigorous game of soccer. Cambell and Maverick took advantage and enjoyed some very competitive soccer. I believe Cambell won...but she did use her hands.

Happy Birthday Jenn!!

We had a great time celebrating Jenn's 29th Birthday. We ate way too much, watched some Nascar and had a relaxing day together. What a wonderful way to spend the day.

First Quad Trip

Papa and Rob took Connor out for his first quad trip with just "the boys". They had a lot of fun. Papa and Rob now have quad fever and I am pretty sure that soon two more quads will be purchased!! Mema and Candice stayed behind with the girls, except for Maverick who was the only boy left behind, and had a great time playing in the back yard. It was a beautiful day and was enjoyed by all.
